The bell foundation has received 142 design proposals to compete in the new "Nobel Prize centre". The new building will be located in central Stockholm. The Nobel foundation said 23 of the designs were from the UK.

In march, after a selection process, these entries will be reduced to about 12. Smaller building units will also be invited to introduce their designs to the review committee. The competition requires the design of a "landmark building" with an investment of 100 million pounds. It will have a museum, an office and a Nobel Prize hall. It is here to award all awards except the peace prize.
